The River House is a unique, off grid water access only sanctuary featuring indoor and outdoor living and dining areas and it’s own private deep water pontoon and beach.

Located 45mins north of Sydney on Berowra Creek, a tributary of the Hawkesbury River, the north facing house is backed by Marramarra National Park, and surrounded by bushland with superb views of the Hawkesbury River.

Bring your own boat, or book a water taxi to the house. For the best of both worlds, you can also arrange a water taxi and tinny hire deal which will get you to and from the house quickly and allow you to explore the river in your own time. For longer stays or special occasions, we also offer personalized collection and drop off service for our guests.

The house accommodates up to 4 people and is perfect for that relaxing weekend away with friends or a romantic weekend retreat for couples.

The house is completely powered from renewable energy featuring an off grid solar battery system, gas cooking and hot water and its own rain water collection.

Enjoy the sun on the private beach surrounded by a sandstone seawall and grassy front garden with Adirondack chairs and a comfortable hammock to relax with a good book or watch the river pass by.
